I should've known something was off when he actually smiled.

That smile never means anything good.

Then absolute chaos.

Every single Quirk in the room activated at once.

The air crackled with energy. Sparks flew from Kaminari's fingers. Frost crept up Todoroki's arm. Kirishima's skin hardened. Ashido's acid pooled at her feet. And in the corner, Bakugo's palms crackled with explosions he couldn't seem to control.

The visions hit like a wave.

I couldn't see them, of course. I'm not part of this world. But I could feel the shift in the room. The sudden, collective intake of breath. The way every single student went still at the exact same moment.

And then, one by one, they started coming back to themselves.

But three people weren't talking.

Bakugo was staring at his hands like they'd betrayed him.

Uraraka had gone pale, her cheeks flushed pink in a way that had nothing to do with her Quirk.

And Kirishima... Kirishima was looking at Y/n.

Not like he usually did. Not with friendly warmth or easy affection.

This was something else entirely.

The kind of look that made my nonexistent stomach drop.

Because I knew what they'd seen. I knew whose faces had appeared in those visions.

And I knew exactly what was about to happen when everyone else figured it out too.

The chatter died down as people started noticing the silence from that corner of the room.

Oh, this was bad.

This was really, really bad.

Because Bakugo and Y/n had been together for over a year. Everyone knew it. Everyone accepted it. They were that couple. The one that argued in public and made up in worse ways. The one that somehow worked despite all logic.

And now fate had decided to throw a grenade into the middle of it.

Kirishima finally spoke, his voice rough in a way I'd never heard before.

Not the kind of quiet that happens when everyone's waiting for something. The kind of quiet that happens when everyone's realized something terrible is about to happen and nobody knows how to stop it.

And then Bakugo looked at Y/n. Really looked at her. And I saw something crack behind his eyes.

Because he knew. He knew before she said anything. He knew before anyone else in that room could put the pieces together.

He knew that whatever he'd seen in his vision... it hadn't been her.
