Y/N remembers faintly from long ago in Tampa 2017 when Ilya had opened up to him, revealing his father had dementia. He remembered just a few years ago, when they’d finally been free, coming to the hospital with Ilya to find that he had a higher risk of dementia since his father had it. And now, just a few months ago, Ilya had officially been diagnosed with dementia. He brushed it off, promising that he would let nothing come between them. And so they filmed a show. Six episodes. Each one written with the exact events from their life that actually happened, meant to recapture their love story. It had every event, every sex scene, every stolen touch, every press event. Ilya told Y/N that if one day, if he fully forgot, that Y/N would show him that show, of them. Of their love story. Y/N said okay. It started with small memories, then bigger. And then Y/N had to watch, in real time, of Ilya, slowly being lost. It broke his heart to watch his love slowly fade away. One day, when it got really bad, he showed Ilya the movie. Ilya was confused at first, and then slowly, he understood, and became a bit like himself again. Y/N knew it wouldn’t be the same like before, and it fractured his heart, but he knew that even if Ilya’s dementia worsened, he’d show him that same show, and watch as Ilya fell in love with him again and again.
