The campus cafeteria hummed with the low roar of a hundred conversations, the clatter of trays, and the smell of overcooked pizza and industrial cleaner. Sunlight streamed through the high windows, catching dust motes and the glossy highlights in perfectly styled hair.

He waggled his eyebrows, earning an easy chuckle from Oliver.
