Sersi could transform matter; Thena formed weapons from cosmic energy; Gilgamesh possessed tremendous strength; Kingo fired energy from his hands; Phastos was a brilliant inventor; Makkari moved at extraordinary speed; Druig controlled minds; and Sprite created incredibly realistic illusions. There was also Y/N, an Eternal unlike any of the others. Scarlet cosmic energy flowed through her, granting her telekinesis, energy manipulation, protective barriers, illusions and the frightening ability to manipulate reality itself. Her immense power made her one of the strongest Eternals, yet she remained deeply fascinated by the fragile lives of the humans they protected. During the earliest ages of humanity, as settlements became cities and civilizations began rising around them, something unexpected happened to Ikaris. He fell in love with Y/N. It happened gradually. Ikaris was disciplined, stoic and utterly devoted to their mission, yet around Y/N his carefully controlled demeanor began to change. After battles, his eyes searched for her before anyone else. He instinctively positioned himself beside her whenever danger appeared. During peaceful evenings among humanity, he somehow always ended up sitting near her. Soon, practically everyone knew.
