Y/n wants to get away from her ex boyfriend Ron Weasley. Draco needs a girlfriend to convince his parents he can carry on the Malfoy Legacy. When they both realise the situation one another is in, an alliance quickly forms. Both draco and y/n have never gotten along, mainly due to their differences in company. y/n gets along with the golden trio and luna lovegood, while draco hangs around mattheo, theo, pansy and blaise. Y/n and ron broke up due to his lack of caringness when it came to y/n. he would ignore her for his friends, swear at her and be rude to her, and the final straw was ron getting annoyed by her and casting a spell at her that sent her flying into a wall. she was barely injured, and no one in hogwarts knows it happened, but y/n knew she had to leave him after that. After the breakup, he becomes more obsessive than ever, and y/n needs a way to keep him out her life. Draco is currently under a lot of pressure from his family to find an heir to their legacy, as he is going into his last year at Hogwarts and is yet to be in a relationship except from him and Pansy Parkinson, who he would never dream of dating again. Pansy was however his first everything. The only time y/n and Draco really interact is, in potions class when Snape pairs them together for an 8 week project of making amortenia. this happens after start of the story.
