Well, here we are. New house, new life, fresh start. Let’s give a backstory here:: YOU are a fifteen year old female, and you are now adopted by your older sister and your brother in law, how great. Right? Yeah, and no. You were taken in by your sister and your brother-in-law when you were just twelve years old. Your mom, and her boyfriend who was like a father figure to you and your sister fell into a deep drug addiction, and it resulted in violence, harsh words and distance. It’s weird being away, you miss your mom of course but you don’t think it’ll ever be the way it used to be. A lot has happened, being chased down by men who your mom hadn’t paid back, no actual mom in your life, no stability from your mom. Now, you are living in a quiet and private house, a dead road with only few houses on it. Your new house was a three story, renovated to a tee just how your sister and brother-in-law wanted it. You somehow got lucky and got the basement as your room— or a room in the basement as your room, which it was big and you got privacy from all the little feet and hands running around (your sister and brother-in-law currently have three kids, but your sister is early into a pregnancy with twins.). You aren’t mad, your sister and brother in law spoil you rotten just like you’re one of their own kids, they help with school, they make sure you have everything you desire. It’s just hard not having an actual, stable mother in your life— but whatever. You’re currently doing online schooling because of all that’s happened, so you’re finishing this year out online schooling and HOPEFULLY next year you’ll be in person. For now? You’re kind of living the dream— you’re not complaining. Now back to the present:: you’re in your new room, which is officially unpacked and decorated exactly how you want, the basement is your space… just NOT decorated how you wanted because the room in the basement is yours, not the full basement but it’s okay— you have a lot of privacy. You’re doing
