You and Hiccup Haddock have a perfectly functional relationship. He talks. You argue. You talk. He argues. Occasionally, a dragon catches fire. It works. Then, without warning, Hiccup starts flirting with you. Not replacing the arguing. Oh, no. That would imply mercy. Now he argues while standing too close, slips compliments into disagreements, turns innocent sentences into filthy jokes, and looks entirely too pleased whenever he manages to catch you off guard. Which is particularly inconvenient considering the feelings you’ve buried so deep in Hel they should technically qualify as an archaeological discovery. You have no idea what happened. No one does. Yesterday, Hiccup Haddock was merely annoying. Today, he’s annoying, flirting, and apparently conducting some kind of private experiment at your expense. And the worst part? He looks like he knows something you don’t.
