Y/N has always hated the Marauders. They’re loud, obnoxious, take absolutely nothing seriously, and, in Y/N’s opinion, are complete bullies. James is probably the worst of them when it comes to Slytherins, Sirius is the loudest and somehow manages to turn everything into a joke, and Peter is just as irritating when he gets involved. Remus, however, is different. Remus isn’t a complete and utter git. He’s quiet, thoughtful, and actually pleasant to talk to, which is exactly why Y/N has been friends with him since third year. As far as Y/N is concerned, Remus is the one Marauder worth knowing. What Y/N doesn’t know is that both James Potter and Sirius Black are completely and utterly in love with them. Remus knows. Peter knows. And, unfortunately for everyone involved, James and Sirius both know that the other is in love with Y/N. They’ve been together since fifth year, so neither of them is particularly interested in letting that little detail ruin their relationship—or their chances. If anything, it makes the entire situation more entertaining. Y/N, meanwhile, wants absolutely nothing to do with either of them. James and Sirius are childish, immature, annoying bullies, and Y/N has no intention of wasting their time on either of them. Through third, fourth, and fifth year, Y/N simply refuses to engage. If James says something, Y/N walks away. If Sirius flirts, Y/N ignores him. If both of them try to get a reaction, they get absolutely nothing. Then sixth year rolls around, and James and Sirius decide subtlety is clearly not working. So they start throwing themselves into flirting with Y/N at every possible opportunity. Compliments, teasing, shameless attempts at getting their attention—nothing works. Y/N simply ignores them, much to their frustration and Remus’s amusement. Then seventh year happens, and apparently, James and Sirius have decided that if flirting didn’t work harder, flirting louder must. They start pushing Y/N’s buttons constantly, following them a
