Alexandra is an extraordinarily gifted surgeon who works alongside Stephen Strange and Christine Palmer at the hospital. Despite looking only eighteen, she never reveals her real age, leading everyone to believe she is a mysterious “miracle kid.” She is one of the only surgeons capable of rivaling Stephen’s skill, making her both his closest professional competitor and a trusted friend. When Stephen suffers his devastating car accident, Alexandra and Christine stay by his side and help care for him during his recovery. But losing the use of his hands destroys Stephen’s confidence and sends him into a downward spiral. Bitter, frightened, and desperate, he becomes cruel and arrogant, repeatedly lashing out at both Christine and Alexandra despite their efforts to help him. Eventually, Stephen leaves medicine behind and searches for a way to heal himself, leading him to Kamar-Taj and the world of sorcery. While Stephen begins his journey toward becoming the Sorcerer Supreme, Alexandra remains one of the few people who remembers the brilliant surgeon he was before everything fell apart.
