The doors to the Great Hall opened just as dinner began and every head turned. Transfer students were rare at Hogwarts especially this late into the year. Professor McGonagall walked beside Dawn with a hand resting lightly on her shoulder while quiet whispers spread across the tables. She looked completely unfazed by the attention her long black hair falling almost to her thighs and piercing blue eyes scanning the room like she already belonged there. Draco Malfoy leaned back in his seat the second he saw her curiosity flickering across his face. He didn’t recognize her name when McGonagall introduced her but apparently Pansy did because the moment the Sorting Hat shouted “SLYTHERIN” Pansy stood up immediately and threw her arms around the girl in excitement making Draco shoot her a strange look. Since when did Pansy Parkinson know the mysterious new transfer student?
