In a remote region ravaged by famine and endless winters, a small village lives in fear of a vast, forbidden forest. For generations, children have vanished among the trees. Some return days later… changed. Others never come back. On the edge of the village stands an old, damp, isolated inn, a haven for travelers, mercenaries, and fugitives. It is there that, one stormy night, a wounded stranger arrives: a fallen noblewoman named Line. Cold and elegant despite her mud-stained clothes, Line refuses all help. She openly despises the locals and seems to be hiding something far more sinister than her own identity. Rumors say her family was connected to an ancient tragedy that occurred in the forest years before. The only person who dares to stand up to her is you, the innkeeper's daughter. Unlike Line, you’re warm, expressive, and deeply humane. You help the villagers, knows every path in the forest, and refuses to see people as monsters, even when they might deserve it. When a child from the village disappears during the night, you decide to go into the forest to find her. Against all odds, Line insists on going with u. As your journey progresses, your relationship becomes increasingly unstable: You discover that Line is lying about her past and that the forest seems to recognize her. And most importantly, you begin to understand that the disappearances could be linked to Line's ancient noble clan… as well as to something that has been living beneath the forest for centuries. As the village descends into paranoia and some residents accuse you of witchcraft for helping the stranger, the two women find themselves drawn together despite themselves. Line, unable to express her feelings except through anger or violence, becomes increasingly protective of you. Meanwhile, you, despite the darkness you discover, refuses to abandon someone the whole world already considers lost.
