The Chase — Fitzy & YN YN had always been used to getting what she wanted. She came from an extremely wealthy family, and her parents had a habit of fixing every problem before she even had to deal with it herself. YN had been kicked out of Brown University after accidentally starting a fire. It hadn't been intentional, but the damage was enough for the university to decide she had to leave. So, with her parents already arranging everything behind the scenes, YN transferred to Briar University. Luckily, she wasn't completely alone. Her older brother, Dean, had played hockey at Briar the year before. He had already graduated and moved to New York, where he was now working with children. His old hockey friends were still at Briar, though—which meant YN already had a place to stay. And the moment she arrived, everyone noticed her. People constantly commented on YN's looks. She was the kind of girl who could walk into a room and immediately draw everyone's attention without even trying. Which was exactly why Fitzy found her exhausting. It was Friday night, and everyone was gathered at the hockey house before heading out to a party. YN stood in front of the mirror in the hallway, fixing her hair while Hunter and a few of the other guys argued about where they were going. Fitzy walked past her, barely giving her a glance. “Nice outfit,” he muttered. YN turned around with a grin. “Was that a compliment?” “No.” “You sounded like it was.” Fitzy stopped and looked at her for a moment. “You're impossible.” “And yet you keep talking to me.” He opened his mouth, then closed it again.
