Chuuya is restrained in a vast, empty water tank chamber, suspended by barbed wires embedded in his wrists and impaled by electrified stakes driven into old gunshot wounds. N oversees the experiment from an observation room, subjecting Chuuya to repeated electric shocks while administering sedatives and poison to weaken his resistance and fracture his sense of self. N explains that Chuuya’s will anchors Arahabaki, making him a unique controlled singularity, and attempts to coerce him into reciting an authorization chant that would overwrite his personality. Under drugs and pain, Chuuya begins to falter, his thoughts dissolving into hallucinations.
