The compartment was warm, filled with the low hum of conversation and the occasional burst of laughter from students celebrating their return. Suitcases crammed into overhead racks, a half-eaten cauldron cake abandoned on the seat.

Y/n had found an empty compartment near the end of the train, tucked away from the crowds. The familiar scent of old leather and soot hung in the air.
