Blaire is in the same year as Harry Potter and friends with all of them, especially Hermione. But she also has other friends from Hogwarts and a lot of girlfriends. Her family and the Weasleys have always been really close so she attended the quidditch world cup with them (fourth year in the books) and meets Cedric Diggory throughout the world cup and they get along really well but only talk on a few occasions. He starts to like her so he approaches her and asks her out on a date once they’re back at Hogwarts. The setting after the first few days back at school after summer when they returned to Hogwarts.
