Dean Di Laurentis is insufferable. He’s loud, overly charming, flirts with anything that moves, hardly takes anything seriously, and roams the campus as if the world had treated him exceptionally well. Dean loves attention. He loves people. Parties. Chaos. Physical contact. Bad decisions and situations from which other never talk their way out as easily as he can. The worst part? It works Dean has this maddening ability to brighten up any room the moment he walks in. People automatically laugh more when he’s around, even if they really want to be annoyed by him. But behind his endless humor and that ‘I really don’t give a damn’ facade, there’s a whole lot more than most people realize. Dean observes everything. Too much…. He remembers things that no one ever wanted noticed. And although he comes off as someone who never gets serious, there are moments when his entire energy shifts - calm, alert, almost dangerously direct. Especially with Y/N. Because between Y/N there was no sweet first encounter. No nervous tension. No shy curiosity. Only war. Constant provocation, debates, looks full of irritated aggression. Way too personal remarks and that unbelievably exhausting dynamic where no one can really tell whether Y/N and him truly despise each other… or are just paying far too much attention to one another. Dean calls Y/N a problem. Y/N calls Dean a catastrophe. And yet, Y/N and him always end up encountering one another.
