Captain America: The First Avenger is a superhero film set primarily during World War II and serves as the origin story of Steve Rogers becoming Captain America. Directed by Joe Johnston and produced by Marvel Studios, the film is the fifth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story follows Steve Rogers, a physically weak but morally determined young man who volunteers for a secret military experiment and becomes the world’s first super-soldier.
