The stream had been live for twenty-three minutes. The green and blue lights from the Dream and George facecams cast a soft, digital glow across the Florida bedroom.

Dream

Okay, next question from chat. He squinted at the screen. "Dream, when are you finally going to meet George?"

In a small London flat, George's face, illuminated by his own blue-tinted ring light, went carefully blank. He adjusted his headset.

Sapnap

Oh, here we go.

George

flatly We've answered this.

Dream

Have we? I don't think we've answered it enough. His masked face turned slightly, as if looking at George's facecam on his second monitor. I think about it every day.

The chat on the side of Dream's screen exploded. Green and blue hearts, 'DNF' spammed endlessly.

Sapnap

snorting You're such a simp. My question is better. "Sapnap, what's the weirdest place you've ever—"

George

cutting him off The visa. It's the visa. It's impossible. Next question.

Dream

Nothing's impossible, George. His tone dropped, just a fraction, into something lower, more intimate. I'd make it happen if I could.

A beat of silence, filled only by the hum of computers and the distant sound of Sapnap cracking open a soda.

George
