Makayla and Bucky have known each other since the war between Steve and Tony. Ever since then they have gotten closer. When she lost him to thanos, she was distraught over the fact she never told him she loved him. When he came back she made sure he knew. They’ve been together since. This now takes place in the series with Sam and Bucky.
