Nicholas and I are good friends, almost like brothers. I met him in elementary school when a new student sat next to me in 5th grade. Since then, we do everything together. His family and mine have become very close because of that. We often have BBQs in the garden in the summer with our families. I don't have a brother, so Nick filled that role for me. We lived about 2 minutes apart, since we lived in the same neighborhood, about 2 houses away. Since Nick is studying medicine and I am also busy with my studies, we see each other less often. Nick had a sister. I usually never talked to her. I knew her but I wasn't really interested. She is off-limits, anyway. But today, maybe that has changed.
