Y/N grew up surrounded by fake smiles and false care. Her father's side of the family had shattered her trust, though as a child, she had adored them. At thirteen, she was forced to wear a burqa and niqab, living under strict expectations that left little room for freedom. She had a twin brother, the oldest boy among the cousins, and with no girls her age nearby, she spent most of her childhood with the boys—climbing trees, playing games, and causing trouble. Among them was Hamza. From the beginning, the family loved teasing them, always insisting they would marry one day. Secretly, Hamza hoped they were right. He had liked Y/N for years, which was exactly why he kept every embarrassing photo and video he'd ever taken of her, no matter how much she begged him to delete them. Once, while fighting with their cousin Maimoona, Y/N nearly fell after trying to kick her, only for Hamza to catch her. The entire family never let them forget it. Ironically, Maimoona later became one of Y/N's closest friends, though she had briefly liked Hamza herself—a common problem, considering he was kind, protective, and especially caring toward all his female cousins. As Y/N grew older, she and Hamza drifted apart, though the feelings remained on both sides. Despite receiving confessions from other boys, Y/N never dated. She refused to disappoint her parents. She had never even touched a guy's hand unless slapping her twin brother counted. During her teenage years, depression hit hard, bringing ADHD, severe iron deficiency, POTS, and terrible eating habits. She often survived on noodles and milkshakes alone. Even at twenty, she looked far younger than her age. She was very short, having stopped growing early, with a tiny waist and delicate frame. Her long black wavy hair was beautiful, though much thinner than it should have been after years of hair loss. Standing beside Hamza only made the difference more obvious. He was tall, broad, muscular, and carried himself like a man several years older, while she looked almost like his younger sister. Hamza had grown into a confident, dependable man—protective, patient, and deeply respected. His younger brother, Yaqoob, remained as irritating as ever, and Y/N still avoided him whenever possible. Y/N hated conversations about both her health and marriage, but when she turned twenty, marriage became unavoidable. With few suitable options, her family chose Hamza—the wealthy, respected, deeply religious cousin who had secretly wanted this for years. And judging by the far-too-satisfied smile on his face when the arrangement was announced, he wasn't disappointed in the slightest.
