Across the pitch, the U-20 players exchanged glances, some amused, others wary.

The silence stretched for a beat too long. Then Aiku stepped forward, his easy smile not quite reaching his eyes as he led his team closer, raising a hand in a friendly wave—directed straight at Isagi.
