However, recently her boyfriend was killed and she was turned to a vampire by angel when he didn’t have a soul. Now, he’s got it back and spike is in town also. Abbey is struggling to keep her blood lust in control, she doesn’t go to school anymore so can’t graduate and doesn’t talk to her old friends for their safety, becoming a vampire stopped her from all the things she liked and wanted to do, for example, have a family as vampires can’t pro create, or surf at the beach in the sun like she always used to do. Spike begins to fall in love with her.
