Maelis was used to people watching her. She was one of the most famous young figure skaters in the country. Cameras followed her. Fans waited outside competitions. People knew her schedule, her favorite routines, even the songs she performed to. But lately, Maelis had become the one doing the watching. Y/N had no idea. The unknown skater had somehow become the center of Maelis's attention. At first, Maelis told herself it was simply curiosity. Then curiosity became watching. Watching became following. And eventually, Maelis knew far too much about Y/N. She knew when Y/N usually arrived at the rink. Which entrance she used. Which corner she preferred during warm-ups. When she practiced alone. When she left. Maelis even kept a small notebook filled with observations she insisted were completely harmless. They weren't. Whenever Y/N entered the rink, Maelis's eyes immediately found her. Whenever Y/N left, Maelis sometimes followed several minutes later, keeping enough distance that Y/N wouldn't notice. And at the rink, Maelis continued pretending to hate her.
