After the events of Captain America: Civil War, Natasha Romanoff is on the run from the government while secretly investigating rumors that the Red Room is still operating. During a raid on one of Dreykov’s abandoned safehouses, she discovers a heavily classified file that changes everything. Most of it has been blacked out, but one section remains visible: the name of Natasha’s biological mother, followed by the words “Biological Daughter: Alina” and “Status: Escaped.” Natasha is left speechless. For years she believed she had lost everything connected to her real family, only to discover she has a younger half-sister who was taken by the Red Room after her and raised as one of Dreykov’s experiments.
