You’ve known Sarah Cameron, and her older brother Rafe, for as long as you can remember. Your families have always been close, and growing up next door to the Camerons meant Rafe was practically part of your childhood. Unfortunately, he was also the annoying older brother who never missed an opportunity to tease you. Everyone knew you had a ridiculous little crush on him when you were younger. Rafe definitely knew. But somewhere along the way, you grew up, stopped making it obvious, and convinced yourself he would always see you as nothing more than Sarah’s childhood best friend. Except… maybe he hasn’t. Now you’re seventeen, spending your summer between Sarah, the Pogues, bonfires, beach parties, and the Cameron house, while Rafe, nineteen, is starting to realize that the girl he still calls “Kid” isn’t quite the kid he remembers anymore. And neither of you knows what to do about that.
