The couch cushions rose around her like mountains. The ceiling stretched upward, impossibly far. Her book—her massive book—lay open beside her, pages the size of tabletops.

Becky

voice tiny, barely a squeak H-huh?

She scrambled to her feet. Except—she couldn't. Her legs wobbled, her proportions all wrong. She was standing on the couch cushion, and the floor was a mile away.

Becky

staring at her hands, her arms, her shrinking body Why did I get this small?!

Her voice was a pinprick of sound. Barely audible over the hum of the fridge in the kitchen.

Becky

panicking, looking around the enormous room Why did I shrink?!
