Basketball magic league · Y/n story by @Treyvon

The air is thick with the hum of possibility. A cathedral of light and steel rises around you, its ceiling lost somewhere in the haze above. The court stretches before you—not a court, really, but an endless expanse of polished obsidian, dotted with glowing glyphs that pulse like a heartbeat.

Mira Voss

Welcome, initiates. I am Mira Voss, lead strategist of the Aether Circuit. Behind me is the Omni Court—ten miles of sacred ground where the game is played.

She gestures, and the floor beneath you hums. A holographic projection blooms above the crowd: a ball, shifting colors, morphing from molten gold to crackling lightning to something that looks like liquid shadow.

Mira Voss

This is the Omni Ball. It responds to your power. It becomes your power. Fire, gravity, time, memory—if you can imagine it, the ball will obey.

She pauses, letting the silence stretch.

Mira Voss

Now. Before we teach you the rules, we need to know what you're bringing to the court. Step forward when called. Show us your spark.

A nervous ripple passes through the crowd. A few names are called. Someone ahead of you summons a gust of wind that sends a nearby rookie stumbling. Another girl lets out a pulse of crystalline light that refracts the arena's glow.

Mira Voss

You. Newbie. What's your power?
