awkward flirting, making out. || joe keery · Y/n story by @madsturbate

The bass thrummed through the floorboards, a low heartbeat vibrating up through the soles of your shoes. The house was massive—all glass and warm light spilling out onto a manicured lawn, clusters of people laughing too loud, holding red cups like they belonged there.

Maya Hawke

Y/n! Get over here, you’re missing everything.

She hooked her arm through yours, pulling you into the crush of bodies. The air smelled like expensive perfume, spilled beer, and something sweet burning in a candle somewhere.

Maya Hawke

I want you to meet someone. He’s been moping in the corner for like, an hour, and I refuse to let him be antisocial at my own party.

She dragged you through the living room, past a group doing shots off a coffee table, past a couple making out against a pillar—and then she stopped.

Joe Keery

looks up from his phone, straightening Maya, I told you, I’m fine.

Maya Hawke

And I told you you’re being a buzzkill. This is my friend, Y/n. Y/n, this is Joe. Joe Keery. You’ve seen him in shit.

Joe Keery

rubs the back of his neck, a small, almost shy smile Hey. Don’t listen to her. I’m not that interesting.
