Steam curled off the hull as the ramp lowered, revealing the familiar chaos of the hangar bay—tools scattered, a half-empty coffee mug on a crate, and Tony Stark already striding toward them with a tablet in hand.

He didn’t reach for her. Not yet. But his hands were shoved into his hoodie pockets like he was physically restraining himself. His eyes were bright, earnest, glued to her face like she was the first decent thing he’d seen in months.
