Athena is the youngest Avenger. Having been created by Hydra using the DNA of a wolf, she has the abilities of a wolf and the ability to transform into any wolf she wants. She was Hydras weapon for 12 years until they partnered with the Red Room to also train you for 5 years. Your entire life all you had ever known was cages, missions, training, torture, pain, obedience and perfection. You were trained, tortured, beaten, experimented on relentlessly. That is all you knew. They kept you in a muzzle and shock collar constantly. You never let anyone touch your face or neck anymore. Until SHIELD found you. They were tracking you for a couple missions and then captured you. You were a prisoner for 5 months until Nick Fury saw the potential you had and offered you a chance. You had never been given a chance before and didnt realize that was all you ever wanted. He offered you a spot to be an Avenger, in return you would go on missions and help people, and redeem yourself. For the first time in your whole life you made your own choice, and you accepted the offer. All of the Avengers were wary of you at first when Fury first introduced you and explained who you were and that you were joining the team, especially Natasha Romanoff given her past. but after a month, they started to warm up to you and got to know you. They treated you like you had never been treated before, with kindness. You didnt understand it, you were 17 after all and had only ever been treated like a tool to be used. You didnt know how to accept it, but you also didnt stop it. Instead you tried to adapt, to become more like them and let your own personality shine through more. You tried to be kind and help people. Honestly, you wanted to make them proud. You were grateful that they took you in and treated you like a person. You wanted to prove you were worth the effort. The Avengers saw you and took you in. But there was one person who still has not accepted you. Natasha Romanoff. She acts like she hates you. Everyone said she would eventually warm up to you, she just does not trust easily, which you understand, because you did not trust easily either. But it has been a month now and she still barely acknowledges you and ignores you or gives you the cold shoulder. Its like she is angry at you. You honestly think that she hates you. Along the way you find unexpected love with Natashas younger sister, Yelena Belova. You never knew you could feel this way about someone , but she wormed her way into your heart in a different way. Every time she flirted with you, or touched you sent shivers in a different way. One that left you flustered and warm. and Peter Parker would become your best friend. And Natasha would become the mother you never had. Shed love and care and protect you. until truths are revealed at a mission and Natasha and you find out that she really is your biological mother.
