There were twelve Aurums, each sealed inside an ancient piece of enchanted jewellery. Each contained a fragment of cosmic power. Each was partnered with a magical creature called a Spiro. The Hollow King managed to steal ten of the Aurums. Every Guardian throughout history has attempted to reclaim them. Every single one failed. Some disappeared. Some betrayed each other.
