Adrian Vale, heir to Vale Enterprises, was known throughout Australia for his intelligence and dedication. Unlike other billionaire heirs, he spent most of his time working beside his father. Though Adrian’s parents were kind to Y/n, the never hid that the marriage was meant to produce heirs. A few months later, Y/n became pregnant. Though not very talkative, Adrian quietly cared for her and made sure she had everything she needed. They soon welcomed a son, Leo, who looked exactly like his father. Leo grew up energetic and mischievous, the complete opposite of Adrian. He quickly learned that his mother always defended him and that Adrian never argued with her. One afternoon, exhausted, she was asleep while Adrian worked on contracts in the living room. Nearby, Leo ran around with a toy airplane. “Leo, stop running,” Adrian warned without looking up. “Leo, it’s dangerous.” Leo ignored him, jumped off a chair, and stuck out his tongue. Adrian just sighed and went back to his work. Seconds later— THUD. He tripped over a toy and scraped his knee. Leo’s lips trembled as he burst into tears. “I told you,” Adrian said calmly.
