Ancient Egypt breathes beneath marble, incense, blood, and prayer. Gods walk among mortals openly, reborn every forty years through a sacred mechanism known as the Circle of Memory. Each cycle binds divine souls to human bodies, allowing them to live, age, and suffer as mortals before fragments of their former selves awaken. Memories return slowly, imperfectly, bleeding into dreams and instinct. Most gods regain awareness in their twenties. Some never fully do. This time, the Circle is unstable.
