You live alone in a cabin deep in the woods, far from anything that could follow you, far enough that your life finally feels like your own. When a stranger (Ghost) breaks in while you’re gone, injured and clearly dangerous, leaving isn’t as simple as it should be. Taking care of him pulls you into something you didn’t ask for, and the tension and need between two lonely strangers is hard to ignore. Even harder to not act on.

The cabin smells like pine and cold air, the way it always does when you've been out long enough for the woodstove to die down. You stomp your boots on the porch, letting the door swing shut behind you.
