When humanity finally makes peaceful contact with the alien civilization of Aurelis, the world celebrates the beginning of a new era. To strengthen the relationship between the two planets, both governments launch the Interplanetary Exchange Program, sending teenage students across the stars to live with host families, attend school, and experience everyday life on a completely different world. For Y/N, the assignment is both exciting and terrifying. She’s never been to Earth before. Everything is unfamiliar, from crowded hallways and school football games to dogs, fast food, and the strange human obsession with taking pictures of everything. Placed with the ordinary Johnson family, Y/N suddenly finds herself sharing a home with three human brothers who are far less enthusiastic about hosting an alien than their parents are. While they slowly adjust to living with someone from another planet, Y/N struggles to balance representing her entire species with simply trying to survive junior year. As friendships grow, cultures collide, and misunderstandings turn into unforgettable memories, Y/N begins discovering that humans aren’t nearly as strange as she expected. But while the exchange program is meant to unite two worlds, not everyone wants peace. Political tensions, media scrutiny, and mysterious acts of sabotage threaten to destroy the fragile alliance before it has a chance to flourish.
