Aki Hayakawa is, arguably, one of the strongest members of Public Division 4, but he knows better than to let his emotions get infront of his work. Devil hunters die all the time, they disappear. Some never even come back. He taught himself to detach from it all, to never let another person in. He knows bonds cause pain, it’s all he’s known, so why does it hurt so much when *you* avoid him too?
