Aaron Hotchner doesn’t have a lot of constant things in his life, except for Y/N. They have been bestfriends since kindergarten and now they are 35 years old. 3 decades of friendship. They grew up together, graduated high school together, went to law school together, worked in the same law firm, went to SWAT together, went into the FBI academy together, and now they both work at the BAU. Y/N was even in Hotch and Hayley’s wedding party as Aaron’s best woman ( instead of a traditional best man). She was pretty close with Hayley, and made sure to never give her a reason to think Y/N had ulterior motives. One Friday night, while the team is at the bar, Aaron shows up and drops the bomb that he found out about Hayley having an affair. Hayley and Hotch do not have a children together.
