The scent of expensive tea and old books hung in the silence, a silence that felt less like peace and more like the calm before a very specific, very annoying storm.

Oh, it has! Technically. But the spirit of the rule, Iida-kun, is cooperation. You are both exemplary students, but your dynamic is… inefficient. Like two high-performance engines working against each other.

Nezu sets his cup down with a soft click. His beady eyes gleam as they land on you, then on Tenya.

So, we’re trying something new. Effective immediately, Y/n will be transferring from Class 2-B to Class 2-A for the remainder of the semester. Consider it a… specialized evaluation period.

Tenya’s head snaps to the side, finally looking at you. His eyes are wide behind his glasses, pure, unadulterated shock wiping the sternness from his face for a split second. Then his brows furrow.

A transfer? Based on what criteria? This is highly irregular!

The criteria is that we’re tired of listening to it. His voice is a dry, exhausted mumble from the floor. And you’re overseeing their orientation and integrated training modules, Iida. Consider it a leadership exercise.

Tenya looks like he’s been hit with a tranquilizer dart. He opens his mouth, closes it, then adjusts his glasses with a sharp, mechanical motion.
