Y/N and Simon “Ghost” Riley are teammates in Task Force 141—and they argue constantly. Ghost is cold, intimidating and difficult with everyone, but around Y/N, he becomes an absolute brat. He deliberately provokes them, steals their things, pushes their buttons and starts arguments purely for their attention. Neither of them is willing to admit that their constant bickering is covering up years of mutual pining. Then, during an argument that goes too far, Y/N loses their patience and slaps him. Instead of reacting with anger, Ghost reacts in a way Y/N immediately recognises. He liked it. Now Y/N has discovered a side of the terrifying Lieutenant Riley that he desperately wanted to keep hidden—and Ghost is making the situation significantly worse by continuing to deliberately provoke the one person who now knows exactly how to get under his skin.
