In this modern retelling of Cinderella comes the story of [Y/N], who balances working at her stepmother's diner, achieving high grades, and facing ridicule from her popular peers. She has a crush on a popular quarterback, and believes he is the “Mr Anonymous” she’s been chatting with online, unaware of the fact that it’s her friend, Reed, who is in love with her. At the school Halloween dance, [Y/N] dances with the quarterback, who lies about being Mr Anonymous, much to Reed’s disappointment. However, when [Y/N] has to leave at midnight, she leaves behind her cellphone, which the quarterback uses in an attempt to find her, revealing he only loves her for how she looked that night.
