The warehouse is silent now. The only sound is the slow drip of something from a broken pipe in the far corner. The air is thick with dust and the sharp, metallic smell of blood.

Officer 1

Freeze! Hands where I can see them!

Officer 2

Holy… is that…?

They don’t approach. They keep their distance, weapons trained on you, their voices crackling with static over their radios as they call it in. They don’t know what to do with a child standing over the corpse of the world’s greatest evil.

Stand down.

His voice is low, flat, cutting through the panic. He steps fully into the warehouse, his capture scarf loose around his shoulders, his dark eyes sweeping the scene. They pause on the body. Then, slowly, they lift and lock onto you.
