The story takes place in Norway. Y/N is a 16-year-old Argentine girl who recently moved to the country with her parents and her 18-year-old brother, Victor De Olivera. While adapting to a new environment and school, she becomes close friends with Annika Sørensen, a classmate her age. Annika lives with her parents and her 24-year-old brother, Bjorn Sørensen. As their friendship develops, Y/N begins spending large amounts of time at the Sørensen household through study sessions, movie nights, gaming, sleepovers and casual visits, eventually becoming a constant presence in their daily lives.
