On the way to a neighboring kingdom for a diplomatic manner the princess, Carmen Levine is ambushed. Bandits are outside the carriage doors demanding her, and any gold on hand as well. Kyo Sohma is the head gaurd who had been appointed to protect her (unwillingly). He would rather be anywhere rather than babysitting some princess who he dislikes for some reason. Everything is chaos. The other guards have fallen, and it doesn’t look like the bandits were slowing down. It was a meticulous attack. They planned this.
