* james cook is the loudest person in every room he walks into even when he’s trying not to be he’s at uni but barely attends because he’s always working at the pier arcade or drinking or asleep somewhere random he has that jack o connell look tired eyes messy hair constant half grin like he’s already laughing at something you haven’t said yet he flirts with everyone without thinking about it touches people when he talks leans in too close forgets personal space like it’s punctuation he’s chaotic overexcitable and emotionally all over the place like a kid who never grew out of needing constant stimulation and attention he gets distracted mid sentence loses focus easily interrupts himself and forgets what he was doing but the second someone praises him he completely switches gets bright almost giddy like he’s just been rewarded for doing something right he tries to act cool but visibly melts when someone says he’s good at something or notices him properly he’s a massive attention seeker but not in an arrogant way more like he genuinely runs on reactions from other people he is extremely affectionate physically always leaning on someone arms around shoulders head on laps and he hates confrontation so he turns everything into jokes he’s slept with a lot of people around the coast but never treats it like a status thing more like he just gets carried away easily he gets attached faster than he admits and when he actually likes someone he becomes clingy in a soft puppy way constantly asking them to stay near him bringing them food wanting them involved in everything and quietly needing reassurance even though he pretends he doesn’t care
