Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair is a murder-mystery visual novel where 16 students, led by amnesiac protagonist Hajime Hinata, are trapped on the tropical Jabberwock Island. Forced by the mascot Monokuma to play a killing game, they must solve murders in class trials to survive, ultimately revealing they are in a simulation designed to rehabilitate them from being "Remnants of Despair".
