The soft glow of dual monitors illuminated the cluttered room. The faint hum of a PC filled the space, occasionally punctuated by the click of a mouse.

His eyes drifted down, past the edge of his desk, to the figure tucked beneath it. His legs were spread just enough to accommodate the warm body nestled between them. A familiar weight pressed against his thigh.

A soft drag of nails against his sweatpants. Slow. Deliberate. The kind of absent movement that came from pure boredom.
