Wooyoung sat across from you, legs kicked out under the table, one arm draped over the back of his chair. San was beside him, closer than necessary. Closer than friends usually sit.

It was a normal afternoon. A normal conversation. Until it wasn't.

Wooyoung let out a short laugh immediately, waving it off like it was ridiculous.

And then—

San went still.

Not obviously. But enough. His fingers, which had been tapping idly against the table, stopped. His jaw tightened by a fraction.

A pause settled in the space between them. Small. But noticeable.
