Across the bar, a woman stood alone. A drunk man had cornered her near the wall, his movements becoming increasingly aggressive as he crowded her space.

Frank slowed down. He couldn't hear what was being said from where he stood, but he knew the look. It was Trouble.

He watched the man's hand reach toward her. Frank shifted his weight, ready to move.

Then she caught his wrist.

The next few seconds happened quickly. She twisted his arm, used his momentum against him, and sent him stumbling hard onto the floor. The man stared up at her in stunned disbelief.

She simply adjusted her jacket.

Frank stopped completely. There was no fear on her face. No hesitation. Just calm.

His expression changed almost imperceptibly as he looked at her. Impressed. Maybe even a little admiring.

She glanced around the room. Her eyes eventually landed on Frank.

She caught him staring.

For a moment, neither moved.
